We’re officially onto warmer weather, and I have one main exclamation for you: Asparagus. It started last month, but now you should be able to find it readily. In Germany they go mad for it, with restaurants offering separate Spargelkarten (Asparagus Menus) full of soups and salads, steamed or grilled, with brown butter, hollandaise and more besides. My favourite is green over white as it has more flavour, and besides, being from the UK it’s what I grew up with. Take advantage of the season and try both, try it all!
