And so the seasons begin to think about changing again. It’s difficult to imagine with the constant reel of summer BBQs and days spent by the lake (depending on your corona situation of course), but the food never lies and with sweetcorn, damsons and elderberries coming into season things are starting to get, dare I say it, a little autumnal. This seasonal shift is one I have always found particularly comforting, as though we’re coming home after a long holiday. There’s something so soothing about the leaves changing colour.
